Sharon Ramsey-Brentley is a retired Pittsburgh Public Schools teacher who taught social studies at Perry High School for 18 years, where she inspired generations of students and families.
She earned her bachelor’s degree from Chatham University and her master’s in education from Robert Morris University. A proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., she also helped launch the University of Pittsburgh School of Education’s Justice Scholars Institute at Perry, giving students access to rigorous college preparation and a pathway to becoming change agents in their communities.
A devoted mother of five and wife to Mark Brentley Sr., Sharon has remained deeply rooted in Pittsburgh’s North Side, where she was raised and continues to reside, championing equity, opportunity, and community service.
